If you own a PSP, I am certain you have thought about putting it in your car. Imagine watching your movies on your PSP while sitting in the parking lot before you go in to work. With the new GPS adapter from Sony this could turn your PSP into a multifunction tool keeping you from getting lost. With the VG929-S Swivel Air Vent mount from Arkon you can do everything I just mentioned.

This mount from Arkon actually attaches to the air vents on your car or truck and pivots to the driver or the passenger. Unlike window mounted cousins, this mount puts the PSP much closer to you and allows for easy access to change songs, adjust settings, or anything else you need to do with the PSP.

Features

This mount includes the custom PSP cradle that uses foam pads to support and keep the PSP in place. The arms that hold the PSP from the bottom are actually spring loaded to keep the top of the PSP from getting scratched.

The hooks that go into the air vent act like fish hooks, once they go in they don't come out without a fight. These I later found out are detachable to allow for easier removal. There is also a brace that folds down to rest on the bottom of the air vent. This brace keeps the entire assembly from moving.

I received this mount in an OEM box that did not include instructions. It took me about half an hour to figure out how to get the mount installed properly.

When I first opened this I had some doubts. I have seen vent mounted cradles that perform the same as about duct tape. After some early predictions I put my PSP into the custom cradle and those doubts went right out the window. The universal cradle that is included with almost all Arkon mounts is the best I have ever seen.

The custom cradle firmly holds the PSP and allows for every accessible button, switch, and even the USB port. The only peripheral you cannot get to while the PSP is in the cradle is the UMD drive but I have never seen a cradle that allows for this.
