Once again it is my duty to present on of the more unique games for the Wii. Kororinpa: Marble Mania is the name of the game and it is brought to us by the good people at Hudson and Konami. At first glance it seemed to be a knock off of Super Monkey Ball, but hey why not just try it. I came home, fired up the Wii and started playing. Upon the start of the game, one thing was for certain: this game is as addicting as it is weird. Now is that a pro or a con?

Story 0/10

This is a marble party game so no story. I could make something up, but it would turn into a horrible version of USA’s 1980’s cartoon version of Pac-man and nobody wants that...

Graphics 9/10

A game like this is more about the game play than it is graphics, but the graphics are simple, clean and cute, while not exactly stunning. The marbles themselves show a little more polish than the actual background, which is used to emphasize the use of the ball.

Sound 7/10

The music is simplistic, but not annoying thankfully. Each song fits the environment that you unlock. The marbles, depending which one is selected, have sounds to them. The game tries to give marbles a life of their own with these sound effects. Personally I prefer Pig marble--it just sounds so cute and scowly. Go Pig marble!
