Pokémon--you gotta catch them all. But what happens when you catch them all and beat the elite four? Well, you can take your Charizard and Torterra to Poketopia and battle. Wii’s latest title, Pokémon Battle Revolution blazes, in letting you take your GameBoy team and put them on the big screen. This is the newest title in the Pokémon franchise and the first Pokémon game on the Wii. However can it live up to the long legacy that was paved by the stadium titles on previous consoles? Let's find out.

Story 0/10

The reason for the 0 on this score is that unlike the GameCube games, Pokémon Battle Revolution has no story what so ever. The whole design concept for this game was to just battle and be an extension to the Diamond and Pearl game, rather than be a stand alone game like the previous titles.

Graphics 9/10

This is one of the outstanding points in the game. It basically gives your Pokémon, that are already expertly drawn, new life. Only this time, they are brilliantly rendered and highly pixilated creatures of power. The only thing more spectacular than the Pokémon themselves is their attacks. The attacks are numerous and all of them are extremely well animated I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fire effect look so good . The levels themselves are some what numerous. This is an island based game, so you have a set amount of coliseums to battle in. They too are heavy on the eye candy. You can be battling over a boiling volcano or so deep under ground that quartz is your only light source. Graphically this is up there in Wii graphics, probably on par with that of Zelda.
