Okay people cue the music! Spider-Man, Spider-Man does whatever a spider can. This is our first Wii title and it just happens to be the latest Spider-Man game. Activision decided to have two sub divisions work on the recently released Spider-Man 3 based of the movie of the same property. Trey-arch which is well known for making quality games and basically made the Spider-Man franchise a huge success (see the ultimate Spider-Man review) got to handle the  360 and PS3 version. And Vicarious Vision which made the Robotech games made both PlayStation 2 and Wii version. While receiving some perks over all, the Wii got the short end of the stick, possibly due to Vicarious Vision's lack to experience with the Spider-Man franchise.

Story 7/10

The story is a loose telling of the movie with some added bonuses.  For those of you that are not familiar with the movie, Spidey has to deal numerous problems, namely the influence of the alien black costume that’s making our friendly-neighborhood wall crawler not so friendly. Along the way he has to fight the reluctant villain Sand Man and ultimately his doppelganger, Venom. The game follows the movie’s story well, but this may or may not be a good thing. The game quickly diverges from the main story with original stories branches that make Spidey contend with some of his more notorious Marvel villains, such as the Lizard and Morbius to name a few.

Some parts are completely left out, just so you can get to the black suit. This rushed job takes away from the experience, as there were some scenes I would have loved to played in the game and while they were in the 360 and PS3 version, the Wii lacked it.
